Stop vuvuzela @ 2010 soccer world cup!
I recently set up a Facebook group to get at least 10.000 members to stop the use of vuvuzelas at the 2010 soccer world cup by filing a petition for review by FIFA. This “giant hive full of very angry bees” is absulutely annoying, makes watching soccer less fun and has to be stopped. Become a member and let the fans sing again.

Yeeaaahhh.
Last.fm annonced:
“As of today, you can play full-length tracks and entire albums for free on the Last.fm website.”

Seems to work quite good for some artists like Hot Chip (4/4 tracks playable full length).
And suboptimal for others, s. Gonzales (1/4 tracks playable full length).
‘Wonder how much the subscription service will be.

Yello Bistro - Smart Metering

Have a virtual coffee at the Yello Bistro. Just to throw a glance at the forthcoming Yello Strom smart metering technology, called the “Sparzähler”. E.g. an electric meter that will replace conventional meters in housholds to visualize energy consumption and to make power saving much easier. This is the project I’m working for as a product manager.

In Spring 2000 world population estimates reached 6 billion; that is 6 thousand million. The distribution of the earth’s population is shown in this map. India, China and Japan appear large on the map because they have large populations. Panama, Namibia and Guinea-Bissau have small populations so are barely visible on the map. Population is very weakly related to land area. However, Sudan which is geographically the largest country in Africa, has a smaller population than Nigeria, Egypt, Ethiopia, Democratic Republic of Congo, South Africa and Tanzania.

Cindy Sherman and Aquaritter

My friend Sebastian and I have gone to Berlin for a short trip and visited the Cindy Sherman retrospective at Martin Gropius Bau. This building is an amazing place to show Sherman’s quite impressing, while drastic pictures. Don’t take your kids there.

That evening we had dinner, met some friends and went dancing at underground Aquaritter Club in Berlin Kreuzberg. This has been an exciting weekend!
