Hi con10t, nope, Typepad isn’t open source, not “free as in freedom” Even the basic version is 4.95$ a month: http://www.sixapart.com/typepad/pricing
At the same time it’s quite popular…

thanks for the moblog review.
i have a wordpress moblog working. uses postie. we built in face recognition (using opensource opencv library) and moblogged pictures return ones with similar faces. the WP moblog accepts 3gp and other video mime types as well. dont have thumbnail generation in. have to convert with ffmpeg for that i guess.

is typepad movabletype open source - free as in freedom? i did work with a free version of MT in 2005. it is a super system. fell behind though for a time to drupal, WP.

Another options apart from Zooomr are loc.alize.us, Mapsack.com and our project Panoramio where we use Google Maps for mapping photos via drag and drop interface. Btw, you can later watch the photos in Google Earth KML feed, a much better experience than web based maps.

Wieder mal AJAX, diesmal in der Instant Messenger Sparte. Meboo, ein Online IM fr verschiedene Netze, untersttzt wird: ICQ, MSN, AIM, Yahoo!, Gtalk und Jabber.
Mit Gtalk (sprich Jabber) hats recht gut funktioniert, bei ICQ hat es leider meine Buddy…
